Thinking about using Scotch for a Chili recipe

Am thinking about using Glenfiddich 12 or Glenmorangie 10 in my usual chili mix (ground beef, kidney beans, jalapeños, tomato sauce and water) instead of an IPA. Has anyone done something like that and how did it turn out?
