Are there any recipe websites that don't have 40 billion ads packed into the page that make my laptop overheat within seconds of loading the page? And that are actually written for human consumption instead of catering to the current particularities of Google's crawler for the utmost SEO placement?
There should be a simple library of the top 100 or maybe even 1,000 most popular recipes, all in plaintext, no annoying ads, no 7,000 word stories about how your grandma loves listening to wind chimes in the summer before getting to the ingredient list, just the recipes with instructions. How hard could it be? It would cost maybe $100 / year to run such a website and I would donate to support it.
