Hi, just posted this to /r/cookingforbeginners and thought you guys might have some input as well!
A bit over a year ago, my stepmom sent me big box from Amazon Pantry with a bunch of healthy+non perishable foods. I was super excited, so I went out and bought those plastic cereal contaiers that keep things from going stale and put all of the above foods in them. I haven't touched them since, but I really want to use them because I hate wasting food.
I just checked and neither red lentils or green split peas go bad--or, it takes a really long time for it to happen. Any input from you guys on shelf life for any of the four?
Anyway, what are your relatively simple but still yummy recipes involving red lentils, green split peas, basmati rice, and white quinoa? Not necessarily together, of course. Thank you so much!
