I have a Chulux ice cream maker I’m going to use for the first time today. I was planning on making a vanilla ice cream and adding some crushed up leftover thin mint Girl Scout cookies. My question is, should I add the cookies to the liquid vanilla cream mixture before I add it to the ice cream maker? Or should I wait until the ice cream is done and then add the cookies? Also, I was planning on just winging the vanilla ice cream recipe part using whole milk, cream, sugar and vanilla extract. Is there anything else I need to add that will make a flavor or texture difference?
