Interesting cake recipes?

I’m a keen baker, but am looking for more of a challenge than boring chocolate cake, Victoria sponge etc...

Does anyone have any cake recipes that may be unusual/interesting that still taste great and doesn’t send me to the corners of the Earth searching for ingredients?
