Maybe some folks here can help me out with this. I found a recipe several years ago in a cooking magazine (I can't remember the name of it) for cinnamon rolls that did not call for yeast, which was a selling point for me because I didn't want to wait for the dough to rise and all that. It wasn't a "shortcut" recipe or something that used a baking mix like Bisquick either - it was all from scratch and made in a glass pie pan and, as far as I could tell, was prepared like any other kind of cinnamon roll (roll out dough, spread filling, roll up, slice, place in dish and bake).
I'd really like to try making these again because they turned out quite good, but most of the recipes I've found for yeast-free cinnamon rolls call for Bisquick. I know for a fact the recipe didn't mention in the name that it was yeast-free - it was just a basic cinnamon roll recipe that happened to not use yeast.
I found this recipe and thought it might have been close, but the frosting wasn't quite right. The recipe I used didn't use cream cheese for the icing - it was just basic powdered sugar, milk and vanilla.
