(request) Help! Looking for recipe for German gooey chocolate cake with crust

Hi guys,

I lived in Berlin for a time and there was a restaurant that had this ultra-dense, almost gooey chocolate cake with a crust and a layer of slightly harder chocolate covering the whole thing. The crust was deeper brown than a normal pie crust, and tasted kind of like caramelised shortbread. As a whole, it's unbelievably good.

In pictures I've found, it says the cake is made with nougat and schmand (like sour cream but higher fat, https://eifelmausi.com/2016/09/08/schmand-vs-sour-cream/)

Here's some images of the cake I've found around the internet: https://imgur.com/a/2c5MU https://plus.google.com/photos/photo/114082080737421845747/6335331725547927586

Does anyone have any ideas where to start? Know of a recipe similar?
