Margarita weekend last week left me with eight limes this week. I'm not into cutting and freezing them for future drinks and I don't believe I'll want to see anything tequila related before they are gone.
I'm not a fan of eating sliced citrus peels, though using them for flavoring is fine. Zesting them is good too. They are NOT Key limes, just your standard buy-them-by-the-sack limes from the grocery store.
It's an unusual cooking ingredient for me and I don't want them to go to waste. Fish was my first thought but the kiddies might mutiny. No dietary restrictions or objections. Got any interesting recipes or techniques?
