My wife and I raise Champagne d'Argent rabbits and Japanese (coturnix) quail in our back garden for meat and eggs, along with our vegetable and herb garden. Most of the time we eat quite plainly, just making rabbit pie, braised rabbit or braised quail and different sorts of omelets and hard-boiled or deviled quail eggs, but my mum's birthday is on Tuesday and she will be coming to stay with us for a week, from Sunday to Sunday. Most of the week we'll cook what we normally cook for my wife, son and I, but for her birthday I would like to make something special. Have any ideas?
