Ingredients:
- 1 ripe plum
- 1 habanero pepper
- 1 tbs sugar
- 1 tbs water
- 1 tbs white wine vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 small roma tomatoes
- 1 small white onion
- 1/4 cup fresh chopped basil
- 16-18 oz tomato sauce
- salt to taste
Directions:
- Chop the plum, habanero, sugar, and water and combine in a medium sauce pan over medium heat.
- When the mixture starts to bubble, add the vinegar and garlic.
- Let the mixture cook for about 10 minutes.
- Chop the tomatoes and onions and add them to the plum mixture.
- Cook for another 5-10 minutes, then add the tomato sauce and chopped basil.
- The sauce should simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Add the salt to taste, serve with your favorite noodles, and enjoy!
