Grandma Catherine's Persimmon Pudding

Set oven to 375. Butter and sugar a 9x13 pan.

2 cups flour (sifted) 2 cups sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 2 TBL baking powder 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp salt 2 1/2 cups buttermilk 4 eggs (beaten) 1 stick butter (melted) 2 cups persimmon pulp

Mix 1st six ingredients in separate bowl, Mix together the eggs, melted butter and persimmon pulp. Add dry ingredients and buttermilk alternately. Pour into 9×13 and bake for 45 to 60 minutes.

It is exceptional enjoyed warm topped with whipped cream, hard sauce or vanilla ice cream.
