I don't have an ice cream maker because I am a college student who dosn't want to buy bunch of kitchen items...I have been trying to make ice cream but every time it hardens like rocks. I know it's because the ice crystals are too big since I can't churn it every second like an ice maker.
Then, I read a personal experiment article about coconut oil in ice cream from giapo. It says that adding virgin coconut oil and/or coconut butte made the ice cream smooth and creamy. Do you think I can add some coconut oil in regular ice cream recipe so that it doesn't harden in the fridge?
