Hello! Apologies if this isn’t the right place for the question, but I figured it was a good starting point.
My great grandmother is 94 at this point and unfortunately cannot remember the exact list of ingredients, much less the entire recipe. Due to this, I only have descriptions from my memories of helping her make them. It would mean a lot to me if I were able to recreate them.
I recall rolling out the dough and cutting it into strips with a ravioli cutter? And then rolling the strips up to look like roses. Then, they would be fried in Crisco (she was very insistent on that much). Afterwards, they were covered in honey, chopped walnuts, and shaved chocolate. She would only make these cookies around Christmas.
