Hi!
I love liquorice so much and got a great deal on pure anise extract. I was wondering if I could melt sugar and make it into hard candy, add anise extract and make it liquorice candy? Never used extract before in recipes and I'm not sure if it would be safe to use a larger amount to make it taste stronger? (Don't wanna burn my tongue off idk) It's the Kroger brand and has 73% alcohol by volume.
Not sure how else to use this extract, but I love anything black liquorice and adding it into melted sugar seems like the simplest way to make something liquorice flavored.
