What other ingredients produce Mala taste profile?

Obviously sichuan peppercorns produce the ma part of mala but I can't think of anything else.

When I think of other taste profiles like spicy, sweet, salty, bitter, umami, and sour I can all think of multiple examples.

Are there any other ingredients that produce a numbing sensation? (can be independent from spicy).

Maybe fugu?
