ingredients
• Tomatoes 4
• green chillies 8
•coriander leaves
•oil 3 to 4 tsp
•cumin or jeera 1 tsp
• garlic 5 cloves
• Turmeric 1 tsp
• Tamarind small piece soaked in water for 10 mins
• salt 1 tsp
•Red chillies 2
• curry leaves
Tadka
•Mix 1/4 tsp of each one: urad dal, chanadal,jeera and mustard seeds.
Process
1.Add oil to the pan and fry green chillies for 3mins.Take them out into a bowl.
2.Add jeera and coriander leaves and saute them well.
- Add tomato pieces and cook them till they turn mushy.Add turmeric and mix well.
4.Take all the green chillies and tomato mix into a mixie jar and add garlic,salt,tamarind.grind it into a smooth consistency.
5.Add 2 tsp oil to the pan and add all the tadka ingredients along with red chillies and curry leaves and fry them nicely.
6.Add the tadka to the grinded paste and mix well
- Tomato chutney is ready to eat.Tastes good with rice along with some ghee.
