Yesterday I made a slow cooker chicken & stuffing recipe I found on Pinterest. It was easy and yummy, but it needed a little more flavor - a little something to make it more complex. Here is the recipe as it was made yesterday:
4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/4 cup skim milk 1 box Stovetop Stuffing mix, chicken flavor 1/4 cup melted butter
- Mix cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soup together with milk
- Place chicken breasts in slow cooker and cover with soup mixture
- Evenly spread stuffing mix on top
- Melt butter and drizzle over dry stuffing
- Cover and cook on high 4 hours
The stuffing was great, it made almost a bread pudding, but I would say the primary flavor of the "sauce" was just "salt". It needs a little something.
