My mom is from upstate New York. A very, very small town. She always talks about the "michigans" they serve there. My mom has been given the recipe before but says it's not the same and has not tried to replicate it again in 7-10 years.
I would really love to recreate this dish for her, but I've never had it and as far as I can tell, theyre fancy chili dogs? Tomato based perhaps? I'm not sure. Any insight is appreciated. Her birthday is coming up and id love to try to find a great recipe, give it a go, then make it for her as a surprise.
Does does anyone have some great tips, tricks, recipes, etc?
