My husband is very particular. I've made gingerbread cookies for him in the past, but he highly dislikes their softness and the fact that they have "too much molasses" (1/2 a cup). I'd like to make a batch for him that he would enjoy more. The problem is, he only likes a specific kind of gingerbread cookie that is hard and crunchy.

Basically any kind that you would buy at a store for cheap in a bag. He also loves eating the gingerbread out of those gingerbread house kits.
I honestly have no way of knowing how to make a hard, crunchy cookie. I've only ever made soft cookies. If anyone can help me with getting a recipe that has cookies with that consistency I would greatly appreciate it.
