I hope I'm in the right place.
So, years ago, I started writing down my family recipes from my mother, grandmothers, cousins etc.
I never gave all that much thought to where I wrote them down and it kind of ended up being this massive collection of loose sheets and re-edits, spills and stains (everyone who cooks will recognise the plight)
A couple of months ago my beloved grandmother died while I was in the States. I never got to say goodbye or attend the funeral. It hurt, especially since a few years, I do not live in my native country. I am pretty far from all I've ever known and with the loss of my grandmother, the family recipes have been on my mind more and more. I feel like it'd be a great way to create a nice legacy possibly for my daughter/son if I should have them. Even if not, I really would like them not to be lost.
I guess I am wondering:
- How do you keep your family recipes?
- I've been toying with the idea of having a custom made cookbook where I would write them down but some people think I should just shove them all in onenote? What are your experiences?
- Any ideas/ suggestions would be very welcome
Thank you!
