These came out super rich and moist and absolutely delicious. You can add nuts or chocolate chunks to your heart’s content (or not), it’ll be great either way! The batter is supposed to get pretty thick so if you do end up adding more espresso than called for, I’d recommend adding another egg too.
2 cups granulated sugar 1.5 cups all purpose flour 1 cup special dark unsweetened cocoa 4 eggs 1/3 cup (5-6 tbs) espresso powder 1 cup salted butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350. Add butter and sugar to a bowl, stir until combined. Add espresso powder & eggs, stir until combined. Add flour & cocoa, stir until combined. Grease a 9x3 pan and add batter. Bake 30 minutes and enjoy!
